Plywood canoe building is easy, as it uses basic hand skills and the boat comes together fairly fast. This incentivises the students as they see fairly fast progression towards the completed canoe. Plus success is virtually guaranteed under experienced guidance when tested at the end of the build. The workshop is the 2nd week of the school holidays.
